I am also looking for software. Why do you think Quicken is better?

    Thanks,

    Hi there,

AqSquared is a farm field production planning, management and record keeping application. It’s quite good. It’s not a farm bookkeeping or accounting program though, like Quicken in many ways can be. Nor can AqSquared help with marketing and sales, which for CSAs might be:

    – LocalHarvest CSAware: http://www.csaware.com
    – Farmigo CSA: http://support.farmigo.com/demo-request.html

For full-featured farm bookkeeping/accounting I recommend Quicken’s big sibling QuickBooks, especially when you customize QuickBooks to best handle a farm business by using “The QuickBooks Farm Accounting Cookbook” which you can get info about at: http://www.goflagship.com/products/cbkhome.htm

Hope you find this info helpful,
    James
